Gaming
Most Windows games run through Proton and Wine. Metricito OS installs the launchers, tunes the system while you play, and tells you honestly which online games their makers keep off Linux.
Installed with the system
| Steam | Installed, with Proton for Windows games and 32-bit graphics libraries |

While you play
The CPU runs at full speed while a game is open, and goes back to normal when it closes, even after a crash.
Do Not Disturb turns on for the game and back off afterwards, with your own setting restored.
Frame rate, frame times, temperatures and clocks on screen, one switch away.
Compressed swap in RAM, and a low-memory guard that closes browser tabs before it would touch your game.
Fewer stutters from shaders being rebuilt, on graphics cards that can use the room.
A newer kernel for new hardware and smoother Windows games, with the stable kernel kept as a fallback.
Anti-cheat
Some online games use anti-cheat software whose makers have not enabled it on Linux. No setting changes that; only the game's developer can.
Press Super and type game. Your installed games show their anti-cheat status, for example "Anti-cheat: blocked on Linux". Type part of a title you do not own and Metricito OS warns you if it will not run online. The list is installed with the system, so the launcher makes no network connections to check it.
For a game that stays blocked, keep Windows alongside Metricito OS on the same PC and restart into it with one click, or use cloud gaming.
